Brand is the god of protection and war. He is Lawful Good and a member of the Pantheon. Brand is also the brother of Bloom and is the companion (and some say lover) of Edict.

The Three Tenets of Brand

• Defend the weak and protect the innocent. There is no higher honor than to be a defender of the people. Those who seek to do harm for their own selfish ends abound, and few will stand to fight against them. Be one of those few. You need not be a fighter with a sword, but to protect the weak and defend the just, you will need strength of some kind. Never use strength to bully - fight with diplomacy as well as the sword.

• Act with honor. Act always for justice, fairness and honor. Be true to your word. Make promises with resolve, and fulfill them so long as the means remain honorable. Treat people with respect regardless of their station. Never demand or expect a reward for your actions, but accept gratitude and compensation, so long as it is fair and leaves the people much better off than you found them.

• Fight against the powerful to protect the powerless. Not every institution of law and justice will provide for the innocent and the weak. The greatest laws are Brand's tenets, and no law can be considered fair if it oppresses the people or causes them to suffer. The needs of the many must be met first.
