Rajan

The nation of Rajan (rah-ZJAN) lies along the northern coast of the northern continent. Rajan is an isolated nation of humans, elves, eladrin and halflings. Rajan, like its neighbor Telwar, contains many connections to the Feywild.

People

(30% human, 20% elves, 15% eladrin, 15% halfling, 20% other)

The Rajani people are known for being spontaneous and excitable. They are quick to anger, quick to love and quick to act. Many people attribute this 'capriciousness' to the connections to the Feywild. Indeed, some of the humans and halflings of Rajan trace their heritage directly back to the fey.

Government and Economy

The Rajani are lead by Highlord Emery Balkin, who heads the Lords' Procession, the high council of the land. Each of the Lords on the council leads his or her own smaller territory, but Balkin makes the final decisions for the Rajan people. The Rajani are self-sufficient, and do not tend to import or export goods in any large quantities.

Ancient Telwar?

Some scholars believe Rajan may be the location of the ancient city of Telwar. This has caused much unwanted attention from the eladrin of Telwar and other scholars. The people of Rajan are not pleased by tourists and diggers.
