The Seams are the spiritual barriers between the planes and spiritual realms of the universe in Snowblossom.

In the Eye

Most often, "The Seams" refers to the boundaries that surround the Eye. Viewed from above, the Eye is formed by two curved lines. Some theorize there should be "up" and "down" Seams. No one knows how far up or down the Eye stretches. However, the realms of the celestials seem to be "up" and the realms of the fiends seem to be "down".

In other worlds

Each spiritual realm and elemental plane also has its own "Seams". Although the universe is theoretically infinite, the Seams seem to dictate how much power exists within the realms they border. For instance, the elemental planes are so enormous that they are nigh infinite, whereas the realms of the celestials and fiends are comparitively smaller. Likewise, the Rift began as a tiny prison realm, but it grew as the Bale came to know it as their new home.
