The Thorns or the Circle of the Thornbush, are an ancient druidic order who have become more aggressive in recent years.

Organization

The Thorns are lead by the Patriarch, Kael. Kael decides the agenda of the Thorns, and his orders are carried out by the field leaders, called Fathers and Mothers.

Beliefs and Practices

The Thornbush believes that Mother Dawn is sacred, and that the influence of devils, demons, aberrations and undead must be tightly controlled. Even the fey are watched closely by the Thorns, who believe too much influence of the Feywild could corrupt the Eye.

Since the War of the Bale, the Thorns have become very aggressive, attacking any corruption they see in an attempt to excise that corruption from the world. They act, in many ways, as nature's vigilantes. For this reason, the Thorns are seen as a danger by many nations.

The Thorns are all humanoids, but they call upon powerful allies among treants, lycanthropes, fey and magical beasts. Very few Thorns go into battle without the aid of these allies.

The order is mostly druids, but also contains rangers and other classes.
