Vernassa

Vernassa is a city-state inside the nation of Argun. At the center of Vernassa is The Spire, the magical fortress where diplomats from across the Northern Shard gather to discuss affairs of state.

Vernassa enjoys its own authority in a negotiated independence from Argun. It is legislated by the Spire Council and the laws are enforced by the Spire Authority, commonly called the Spikes (for their Spire-shaped badges).
