White Crown

The White Crown is an organization formed over 100 years ago, in 1113 AK. Made up of undead who attempt to redeem themselves and do good, the White Crown was first formed in the kingdom of Nezrahim during the reign of the lich necromancer, the King of Sorrows.
The exact origins of the White Crown are still shrouded in mystery. However, the White Crown rose quickly as an opposition force to the ruthless King of Sorrows (who some believed was serving the Bale). By the time news of the White Crown reached the surrounding kingdoms, they had already dethroned the King of Sorrows and slain him. From there, the White Crown fought a long hard battle against the remaining forces of General Krall and similar undead warlords in Nezrahim. The enemies of the White Crown were forced north, where they established their own nation, called Azrahim. In Nezrahim, the leader of the White Crown, the Ashen Lord, was elevated to King. Their campaign to retake Azrahim and rescue mortal survivors did not stop until Krall systematically wiped out every living creature remaining in Azrahim.
After their pyrrhic victory over the undead of Azrahim, the White Crown invested their resources in rebuilding Nezrahim. It was obvious to the humanoids of Nezrahim that the White Crown had saved them from miserable half-lives, and the vast majority of the Nezrahi people gave their allegiance to the White Crown. At the same time, the White Crown began accepting the living as members, all dedicated to defending Azrahim and destroying all evil undead.
Today, the White Crown still controls Nezrahim and maintains diplomatic relations with all its neighbors. Although most outside Nezrahim are hesitant to trust the undead, the efforts of the Black Baron, Marion Carowe, have brought the group a long way to acceptance.
